Statistics is one of the important disciplines of teaching and research activities in higher education. Although the history of teaching statistics as a separate course at different levels of the degree programmes goes a long back to the history, the Department of Statistics was formally established in 1995 at PN Campus.

Since 1988, Statistics has been teaching as a separate stream at the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and the Bachelor of Arts (BA) courses. In the view of providing quality education, all the faculties are capable to teach courses in Statistics at Bachelor’s Level as well as Master’s Level programmes in different faculties and institutes of the campus.
